O'Keefe, no stranger to defamation suits, filed this one in New Jersey Superior Court. He has to show the defendants knew what they said was false before they said it or didn't give a rat's ass as to the truth.
The mainstream media are playing this as just desserts: "Conservative journalist/activist James O'Keefe has often been accused of skewing the truth with his work. And now O'Keefe has charged others of doing the same to him. O'Keefe's hit pieces on Planned Parenthood, ACORN and NPR have made him a hero of the right wing but have gained him a reputation for dishonesty in other circles."
Prediction: O'Keefe will lose. His reputation suffered no harm.

Matter of fact, her facts about the cost of contraceptions is baseless without any merits. Don't Planned Parenthood give out contraceptions like its candy? If she wants to have sex then go to the pharmacy and buy condoms or better yet, close her damn legs...

Marty is right. O'Keefe is a public figure, and you need an iron-clad smoking gun to prove slander. Which isn't to say that he isn't justified (consider the riff-raff he's suing), but only that the burden of proof is very high.
