| Spin cycle. Ross and the DC Madam. |
Prediction: ABC's intrepid investigative reporter Brian Ross's interview with Newt's ex, Marianne, will have the same impact as Brian's infamous DC Madam February 2009 blockbuster that wasn't. Ross was the laughing stock of the media after Disney/ABC lawyers
got through sanitizing his widely-hyped investigative report of DC Madam
Deborah Palfrey. No big name clients were revealed. A whimper. No bang.
ABC News supposedly dithered on running the Marianne Gingrich hell hath no fury before or after Saturday's SC primary.
Wash Post
It reportedly airs Thursday night on ABC
Nightline after a CNN debate in Charleston minus Rick Perry. Perry has a 11a news conference Thursday to suspend his faltering campaign and throw all his support to fellow conservative Gingrich.
Politico Perry's withdrawal upstages ABC News.
Poll-surging Gingrich said Thursday morning that his daughters sent a letter to the president of ABC News to persuade him to bag the piece.
NYDN
Frankly (to use one of Newt's favorite words), I don't believe
Marianne Gingrich's ire of Newt will resonate with SC voters. Marianne has dumped on Newt before.
2010 Esquire comes to mind.
The Daily Beast's Howard Kurtz claims on good authority that Marianne says nothing new. As for the timing, media-badgered
Marianne tells the Washington Post an interview was "unavoidable."
After 18 years of marriage second wife Marianne was dumped by Newt for 23-years-younger Hill staffer Callista.
ABC News pimping the
bitter recollections of Newt's second wife backfires.
I have known Newt since 1978. Not good friends but when I was in DC. Knew first wife, Jackie, and second wife, Marianne.
ReplyDeleteNewt is flawed for sure. But I'll be standing in line at the polls in Charleston, SC Saturday to cast my vote for Newt. I do not want Romney as the Republican presidential candidate. Mormonism is troubling, and there's just something about him that doesn't ring true.
So true.
ReplyDeleteObama News Media ----------ABC is scum. I read U.K. newspapers that don't carry water for Obama.
ReplyDeletePerhaps with the money from the interview - Marianne can now afford a little nip and tuck.
ReplyDeleteHave Mormons come to my door many times, always seems like they believe they are slumming. Sometjing about them makesme uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteDoes Callista have the same hairdresser as Sam Donaldson?
ReplyDeleteLimbaugh seems to think that Drudge, on the 14th anniversary of the Monica news, screwed up ABC's plot to sabotage Newt by running ABC's Marianne interview Wednesday night. Limbaugh claims ABC, been hell-bent on destroying Romney this week, planned to run the Newt-destroying Marianne interview Monday after the SC primary to knock out Newt, clearing the Republican path for Obama, leaving unwinnable Santorum and Paul.
ReplyDeleteI find Rush a bit paranoid.
First time I ever saw plastic surgery by Samsonite.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Mitt's bankrolling Marianne...
ReplyDeleteVia my BlackBerry
As if the unwinnable candidates are limited to just Santorum and Paul. :-D
