Jim, I'm now leaning toward Obama to win reelection. You? Repubs grease tge skids for Obama victory after cannibalizing each other.

I'm liking that format and talent, Grandpa D!
ReplyDeleteNot me. No president since FDR has won reelection with unemployment 7.2% or higher, and it'd take the mother of all recoveries to get the current jobless rate that low by November. When the GOP loser tells the GOP convention to rally around the nominee this summer, and the balloons drop from the ceiling, a lot of the current rancor will be swept under the rug. Plus, Obama's base is disheartened and unhappy with what they see as his tepid liberalism. Also voting, for many of them, was much more of a one time novelty than a habit. I think it's likely going to be close, but I see the presidency and both houses of congress going republican.
