You're in Charleston!?! I was just there in November on the way home from Norfolk. Nice city. Visited Ft. Sumter.
ReplyDeleteGee, Grandpa D, had I known I would've met you somewhere...
ReplyDeleteJim took over Larry King's radio show in Feb. 1993. We worked at the same radio network but at different times. Ellis is one of my good buddies. We met at a talk radio seminar in NYC years ago. I don't recall how many years but we just clicked.
ReplyDeleteThe show sounded great. You still have the touch. I hope you'll do more.
ReplyDelete(And maybe I'll start wearing a helmet when bicycling.) ;)
Wasn't Marty super?!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a privilege to be on her segment!
Dear Grandpa D! Thank you so much for your kind comments! I hadn't actually hosted a radio talk show since WMAL Washington, DC in 2000 or 2001. Don't recall.
ReplyDeletePlease start wearing your helmet. You never know when or where some off-the-wall thing'll come at ya.
And it was a privilege to have you on, Jim! You were great! Producer John Quincy commented on how well we "work together."
ReplyDeleteMarty, you are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, "It's a great day in South Carolina."
Did you see the segment on MSNBC, someone want's "It's A Great Day In South Carolina" to be ousted as the offical slogan? You can't make it up sometimes.
ReplyDeleteWow...Chickaboomer ruled the airwaves...My first time to listen to her voice in 3 years!!! and on the internet
ReplyDeleteHey, Pat, thanks, and Happy 2012! May you ascend to Earth's parallel universe reminiscent of H.G. Wells's The Time Machine when the Mayan calendar ends in Dec. 2012. I will greet you like Virgil -- but in paradise and in my Ellis Henican Arianna Huffington dominatrix duds.
ReplyDeleteQ. takes a good picture. You should use that on your web page. And yes, it was a good show even tho I'm an ABATE fan. It's hard to legislate behavior when it doesn't bother anyone else. Isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Doug! Will put it up! Yeah, I have to agree with you re: legislating behavior. I'm just rabid about helmets! Motorcycle and bicycle.
ReplyDeleteYou were no slouch yourself, Jim.
ReplyDeleteThank you, sir! But this was Marty's segment, and she led it well!
ReplyDeleteJim, you see that former Clintonite Robert Reich is predicting that same Biden jettison/Hillary recruitment that you have predicted for months!
