Howard Kurtz on Chelsea Clinton's NBC debut: 'Maybe she'll get better. It was only her first story.'

CNN Reliable Sources Howard Kurtz and his "license to review television" vultures pick to the bone NBC's bone-headed hire of TV news virgin and media xenophobe Chelsea Clinton.

Chelsea's fast track to NBC News:  Her grandmother "had been to cajoling me and challenging me to do more with my life, to live more of a purposely public life, that being Chelsea Clinton had happened to me and that I had a responsibility to do something with that as an opportunity."

NBC's hiring of Clinton "journalistically bankrupt."  TV critic David Zurawik.  "Shameless."

"Amateurish . . . It would be interesting to see the CBS - the old school newsies at CBS News would eat her alive. It would be some blonde hair on the sidewalk."
