"Registered Democrat" Wallace on himself: "It’s like what they used to say about Vince Lombardi: 'He treats us all
the same—like dogs.' I think I’m tough on everybody, and I’m fine with
that."
Was Walter Cronkite's 15-year-old daughter, Nancy, then-16-year-old "good boy" Chris's first lay? Find out here.
Must-read Playboy interview.

Wallace -- yuk!
ReplyDeleteChris Wallace is da man! He always askes the right questions, and will be a dick when he has to be!
ReplyDeleteGreat article.... I was surprised to find out he is a registered Dem... he is a real newsman.. a real throwback....
ReplyDeleteHe tells why he's a Dem in the interview. I met him once in the late 1970s. Maybe 1979. He was still married to #1, lived on Cathedral in DC, and had small kids, maybe two. Maybe twins, I don't recall. I was introduced to him and his wife by Debbie Insley (the poor side of the Fisher Body empire). Debbie was a lobbyist for GM the.n and lived next door to Chris. Debbie later landed much older John Dingell. I went to her bridal shower in 1981, I think it was 1981. (She had had her eye on Stewart Mott, but alas, that didn't work out.)
ReplyDeleteChris, I believe, was at ABC News DC at the time.

ReplyDeleteI paraphrase:
And that's the way it was
At the CBS Bureau in Washington, DC, maybe 30 feet down the hall from where I work, is a cubicle labeled "Wally Cronkite".
ReplyDeleteHis grandson--some sort of producer.
Are you sure it is not the imposter kid? Oh, I think that was in NYC...
ReplyDeleteYeah, this one is the real deal.
