Fox News 'The Five': Genus Out Of The Bottle

Fox News programming genius Roger Ailes channels Carnac the Magnificient:

Answer: "The Five."
Question:  "Who replaces Glenn Beck?"
Andrea Tantaros, Bob Beckel, Eric Bolling, Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld
NYT's Brian Stelter So, about a week and a half before Mr. Beck signed off, Mr. Ailes wrote the words “The Five” on a piece of paper.

Stelter:  "So far this month it had 1.6 million daily viewers, matching Mr. Beck’s final numbers for the first time.  . . . And most important, the advertisers that had shunned Mr. Beck are coming back to the time slot."
NYT
Have the other "revolving hosts" touted in Fox's July press release been rotated out?  Geraldo, Andrew Napolitano, Monica Crowley.  Just asking . . . Press release via TV by the Numbers

  1. Yuk. I miss Beck. At least he's honest and loves the USA! Never have been able to stomach this sorry replacement for more than 5 minutes!

  2. I have rearranged my afternoons so that I have time to watch
these five. You have to have funny fighters on - not Juan, the Judge,

  3. Yeah, I think they're great!  Didn't like the idea of Geraldo or Napolitano in the mix and complained loudly in this space!

  4. This is also a nice farm system for new talent.

  5. The Five now have more viewers than poor Glen, way to go.

  6. Beckel is tough to listen to. Sometimes I think that there is something seriously wrong with him.

  7. There is, Tom.  He's a recovering alcoholic and drug addict with a penchant for hookers.  Flawed big time, but then again, aren't we all to some degree?

  8. I like this show. It's a good back and forth instead of rants and the anger level is set aside to actually make cogent points.
Notice how they position Kimberly G on the left of the screen so you can see those high heels?

  9. When he's on Hannity, he is tolerable. On this show, I think everyone is encouraged to be themselves, and he comes off as quite disturbed at times.
