Apparently there's still bad blood if you believe NY mag's Gabriel Sherman:
Palin hasn't turned into the television asset Ailes had hoped. Palin's
contract is up in 2013 and it's unclear what the current fracas will
mean for her future on Fox News. Part of her appeal as a pundit was that
every appearance on the network was turbocharged by the
"will-she-or-won't-she run" speculation. She's now given up that chip to
play.
"I paid her for two years to make this announcement on my network," Ailes was reported to have told Fox's Palin wrangler, EVP Bill Shine.
Sherman says Palin's "been upset that Fox News has given a platform to Karl Rove, one of her principal critics."
Looks like Fox is greasing the skids for Palin's exit. The vindictive, crazy, prevaricating, cunning, money-grubbing empty suit is getting paid for doing virtually nothing. Palin's meteoric rise and media manipulation are the political equivalent of the colossal scam perpetrated by Bernie Madoff.

She's attractive, with a devoted following and a major media platform.
ReplyDeleteIt must have taken a lot of planning and work to fuck up all that.
She has nothing more to add.. she just stirs the pot..
ReplyDeleteI truly believe she is a sociopath. But her admirers and the love/hate her media are to blame for feeding the monster. Fox and Roger Ailes shouldn't be surprised at Palin's disloyalty. She has no loyalty to anyone but herself. Ailes set himself up for this and Palin's making $1 mil a year from Fox through 2013 and laughing all the way to the bank.
