Jerry Sandusky's only regret: 'I shouldn't have showered with those kids.'

Bob Costas nails Jerry Sandusky in a phoner that ran on NBC's Brian Williams vehicle Rock Center. Sandusky denies all. "Innocent." "Horsing around."  "Horseplay."

My first thought after watching Costas:  HE should be fronting Rock Center and not empty bespoke suit Williams.

Baltimore Sun TV critic David Zurawik reads my mind: "Tor all the big-name, broadcast news guys he and NBC News have been pounding the drums of promotion over the last few weeks, it was Costas, the sportscaster who already has all the work he can handle, who delivered the journalistic goods Monday."

 

Costas concludes with asking Sandusky why he shouldn't be branded "a monster": "People could hang on until my attorney has a chance to fight for my innocence. Obviously it is a huge challenge."
