CNN's immodestly pimped Erin Burnett vehicle, OutFront, "debuts modestly" Monday. TV by the Numbers The ratings were much better than the "glamorously disruptive" one's 7p predecessor, John King. Burnett beat MSNBC's Chris Matthews in the golden 25-54 demo.
Perhaps this is a good sign. CNN's primetime (Eliot Spitzer, Piers Morgan) big numbers out of the box inevitably peter out, and the hosts (read Spitzer and Kathleen Parker) are beached.

ReplyDeleteShe absolutely blew coming back from break last night when news broke about Steve Jobs' death. She read the first part of an open on the Conrad trial, then stuttered through an interruption in her ear to announce the news while they changed the bottom quarter chryon. I had to turn the channel, it was painful to watch. :(
