The story about him voting for Obama is not contrived. He is a political liberal. He is a social liberal. He banned Fox News from the television sets in his headquarters. Yes, really. This puts to rest another false rumor: that McChrystal deliberately precipitated his firing because he wants to run for President.
As I have said before, never trust a liberal military man. The only place for them is in the JAG office. To quote Indiana Jones, "Trust me."
ReplyDeleteAnd, another thing. There is only one general who ever handled the press masterfullly and that was General Eisenhower. There is nothing to be gained by an active duty militaryman doing an interview with the press- nothing. To quote Vinney, "Trust me."

ReplyDeleteHe is entitled to his political views. I really don't care if he is liberal or conservative. So he has control issues that's not really unexpected either. It looks like Obama has bigger control issues than McChrystal. Patreaus replaces McChrystal....is Obama George W Bush's 3rd term? Obama did not endear himself with the Left with his choice of Patreaus. The Left was targeting McChrystal to change the Afghan War Policy, and the President out manuvered them. Obama was susposed to be left in the lurch because of the McChrystal expose' and it didn't happen, he didn't change course in Afhganistan.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why McChrystal didn't like Fox News, they certainly support the U.S.A. Military Service Members. If McChrystal didn't like how they exhibited that support well......there is an old adage about knowing which fights to pick.

and he would not let the tv's in some rooms have fox on, guess he didn't like fox because they are the only ones that will tell the truth about obama, felt sorry for him before, not anymore. but it sure was " BRILLIANT" of obama to get petraeus back, what a " Brilliant Move" by our president, move-on couldn't get that general betrayus ad off any faster.
