Hemmer And Haw

House Republicans nearly capped Rep. Joe Barton after he opined during BP hearings that the WH-threatened legal action against the UK oil company was a "shakedown" resulting in a $20 bil "slush fund."

Minority leader John Boehner was yakking with Fox News's Bill "daring, worldly, and single" Hemmer when Barton coughed up an apology.

Doesn't Hemmer have a girlfriend named Dara?

  1. It's certainly unfair to hold the entire GOP accountable, any more than it'd be fair to hold all democrats annountable for every bonehead comment from one of theirs. But Barton represents a not inconsequential viewpoint, that anything business does should be "corrected by the marketplace".
The marketplace is driven by one thing: maximizing immediate profits. The market today doesn't even care about the longterm health of a company, much less the greater public good.
You can't let a pack of whores conduct business under-regulated.

  2. It seems to me that "Dara" is the girl who was with him on one of those cold New Year's Eve shows.
She was out of camera range but he kept calling her "darlin", etc.
    A model?

  3. The WH and Dems and MSNBC believe Barton's blab was a game changer and good for Obama. Taking the focus and heat off Obama . . .

  4. I happen to see the segment with Luke Russert who I think is suffering from down syndrome every time he does his stupid smirk when he gets a chance to slam Republicans or Conservatives.

Can somebody please tell me how he's qualified to be working for MSNBC other than I'm famous for having a famous father? Let's be honest about Luke, he's one of those “Let me spout the latest Democrat National Committee talking points while I’m pretending to be fair” liberals.

You should have seen the bullshit he pulled a few days ago when he was amazed that Black Republicans and supporters seek Tea Party support.

  6. russerts been around msnbc to long now,he's talking just like the rest of them, don't remember his dad being this partisan. barton is my congressman and he has been a good one for our district, hate to see him bashed this way. he really does talk and listen at his townhalls, but it just gave ammunition to the dems, they were looking for something like this. and read that they are really going to use it like you said marty.
