Draggin' The Line

A Mediaite blogger seems to think the following 'could cost' Mike Huckabee 'some supporters on the right.'

How old is blogger Tommy Christopher anyway?  The naif speculates Huckabee 'probably wishes, like many politicians, that he’d gone into show business,' adding 'something like this could tip the unamused into Palin’s camp.'

Don't think so. Huckabee does a riff on Fox's 'Red Eye' about Sarah Palin snorting a line of coke. BFD.  Tommy boy, shut the fuck up.  Sarah Palin, her followers, conservatives, boomers, don't give a rat's ass about Huckabee's 'Red Eye' comic riff:

Tommy Christopher was years away from exiting his mommy's vagina when drugged-out Tommy James & The Shondells hit 1971 music gold with 'Draggin' The Line.'

So this is for Mike Huckabee and all you one toke over the line, sweet Jesus baby boomers stoned or coked out of your gourds like me in 1971.  Brewer & Shipley's 1970 hit 'One Toke Over The Line' performed by Lawrence Welk's Gail & Dale:

  2. How do you do it, Marty? Finding the Lawrence Welk verion of "One Toke..."!
Sandra, those are the Lennon Sisters, and several of them still perform, in their 60's, at the Welk Theater in Branson, MO. In fact, I interviewed them earlier this year on my radio show.

  3. The laugh of it, Jim, is that Lawrence Welk wrapped up the performance by claiming 'One Toke' was a 'spiritual.'

  4. This whole post if bizarre.  Everyone needs to get over thier stodgy views of the bud and legalizit.  Its far less harmful than booze, and frankly alot of people could use some serious mellowing out these days.

  6. That IS funny, Marty!  One toke is nowhere near spiritual.  On the other hand, 3 or more tokes...
