Thank god it was cable! When you think about it, this is really an odd dichotomy. It only exists because the FCC decency standards were written back when nobody had even conceived of cable tv. But the average viewer must wonder what the rationale is for: channel 33--asshole ok. channel 34--asshole gets you fined $325,000.
I don't know what the problem is... when you can't answer a question, try to confuse everyone with doublespeak. And when that doesn't work, start namecalling.
That's Rule4;Subsection 3:Article 1 of the Progressive Liberal Handbook.
While Neil can certainly be somewhat "abrupt" at times, I don't find him unfair. Especially when dealing with a guest like this. Anybody watching with a minimal understanding of 5th grade math would have to come to the same conclusion, this "Chief Economist" was educated in math at a baking school.
Whether you are a liberal or a conservative or somewhere inbetween, you simply can't ignore the fact that 2+2 is still 4 and always will be.
In my experience I have found when people are on the wrong side of an argument, know they are on the wrong side, they are quick to get on the defensive. yea Neil goaded him a bit but you can't tell me any union leader today does not know they are running a losing scam.
I agree. They were both acting like a-holes. Neil's "where'd you get your degree" line was completely gratuitous. Blackwell sank to Cavuto's level (and went below it) with his anal orifice retort.

ReplyDelete@ Tim: Winston Smith was told that 2+2 = 5. "Because if everybody believes it, then it is true..."
