TLC Sleeps With The Dishes

"Sarah Palin's Alaska" is officially baked.  TLC - the network that brought you Kate Gosselin - has picked up eight episodes at a rumored $1-1.2 mil a pop.  TLC is owned by Discovery Communications.

Reality show czar Mark Burnett is producing what TLC refuses to brand a reality show

Repub-turned-limo liberal Arianna Huffington was jarred out of her beauty sleep. (Huff Post WWIII head above).  Huffington Post's Danny Shea calls TLC's move "strange."

The ratings will eclipse TLC's "Jon & Kate."

  1. People in Montana love to vacation in Alaska. I think it's great that the rest of the country, get's to see why it's such a draw to people who have been to the state.

  2. A quality produced, high-definition documentary (a la Planet Earth or Life) already do well in cable ratings. Add Gov. Sarah (and the former First Dude) and Mark Burnett, and I would expect boffo ratings.

  3. Absolutely. Killer ratings more than the late Jon & Kate + 8.

  5. There is some serious wilderness up in Alaska. My Brother in law's brother went up there, for what he said, would be a couple of weeks, and he came home to visit - something like 3 years later :) He was up working as a bush guide he was a trucker by trade. He is still up there last I heard, and that was many moons ago...Montanans love Alaska. That photo of Sarah Palin kneeling over a moose she just shot - Bagged Montana Voters for McCain SMILE.
