CNN pimps John King's new show with the American flag, baseball, hotdogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet - with a new name. Hmmm. "America Live" is already taken... "American Morning." Uh, no go.
"John King USA" kicks off March 22nd 7p. "Having my name associated with a show is a little uncomfortable for me." But then he says "I'm the anchor of the show so I should have my name attached to it."
It wasn't so long ago that CNN was fining its anchors if they used the words "we" or "us" to describe the United States. They wanted to stress that they were citizens of the world and of no specific country.

Next thing you know they'll be sporting flag lapel buttons.
I'm not convinced.
"John King, USA" sounds like someone that Janet Napolitano would consider to be a right-wing, potential home-grown terrorist.
