Well once again CNN spent all sorts of time and money covering a 4 foot wave! The quote of the night was when an anchor aske the reporter "So I guess this Tsunami didn't amount to much." The response from the reporter on scene was " Well no, a 4 foot wave can knock you over." You just don't find compelling coverage like this anywhere.
Breaking news....Paint is drying on a wall in Oshkosw, Wisconsin. We have Larry King covering the story!
CNN was lost without a pretext for blaming the wave on Sarah Palin, or working in a teabagging reference.
That said, it is correct to refer to feet/inches, etc. as English units of measurement compared with that faggy French metric stuff, so I'm inclined to give a pass on that score.
My favorite laugh out loud moment came when the CNN weather girl shouted, "It's started! It's started." And I paraphrase, as she continued, "We can see a wave. We can see a wave."
FMA, the Fucking Morons of America, will be outside Chickaboomer Headquarters tomorrow to protest being compared to Rick Sanchez.

Rick started to exhibit some redeemable qualities with his Spanish translation but this stunt negated his virgin voyage into professionalism.
ReplyDeleteand he used to work for MSNBC
ReplyDeleteYup, that he did, Anon. And Jim, what is the compelling reason to convert to metric again?
ReplyDeleteBurford, the FMAs have a lonnnnng way to travel to get to CB's HQ...
Oh, I think the compelling reason to go metric has to do with the male ego or some such.
ReplyDeleteBut I forget.
Suddenly.
