The new man in Katie Couric's life is Morgan Freeman. CBS News unceremoniously dumped Walter Cronkite's CBS Evening News intro for "more consistency" with actor Morgan Freeman. I get that. CBS hired Freeman after efforts to channel Walter's voice from beyond failed... Uncle Walter exited the planet six months ago.
