ABC's plucked octogenarian Babs Walters to guest host Sunday's "This Week." Fox boss Roger Ailes appears on the panel. Politico's Michael Calderone: "It's surprising to see the head of Fox sitting down on the network's Sunday show."
Well, there is that. I recall New Orleans, August 1988, the GOP Convention, and trying to pry George H.W. Bush's running mate out of Roger in his hotel suite. He wasn't sharing, but he loved dangling the fact that he knew. What the hell--I guessed right and got tape of Quayle addressing the Ohio delegation breakfast the next morning, and a one-on-one--no thanks to Rog.
He certainly should have been. Ailes loves politics, and I'm sure he's privately beaming at those who view him as de facto head of the GOP. He'd love to be the actual head, except for the huge cut in pay.
Ailes is so competitive he'll probably try to be boring in order to hurt their ratings.
ReplyDeleteNo, Jim, he's got too big of an ego...

ReplyDeleteIs he known as "Roger Dodger?"

ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for Roger Ailes punching that annoying greek bitch Ariana Huffington in the mouth...
ReplyDeleteArianna. Oh, yes. Watch Tracey Ullman's imitation of the unintelligible TV talking head...
ReplyDeleteIsn't Babs dead yet?
