AP [via Politico]:
“NBC's Andrea Mitchell logged more TV face time than any other network evening news reporter during the past decade. News consultant Andrew Tyndall … calculated that Mitchell was on NBC's ‘Nightly News’ for 2,416 minutes from 2000 to 2009. The veteran diplomatic correspondent beat her NBC medical correspondent colleague, Robert Bazell, who had 2,328 minutes. Only non-NBC reporter in the top six: CBS Pentagon reporter David Martin.
who say's only beautiful people make it on tv.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. Andrea is aggressive big time and it has paid off for her.
ReplyDeleteWhy do we spend time counting stuff like this?
ReplyDelete@Pat because no one really wants to report the actually news.
ReplyDeleteLooking at her is a chore.
ReplyDeleteBut looking at her husband is a
harder task.
How can they stand to look at each other?
There's a really cruel story from NBC Washington, about one morning when Andrea was covering the White House, and was standing out on the White House lawn awaiting a Today Show live shot. The cameraman zoomed in on her face and stage whispered back to Nebraska Avenue, "The Eagle has landed".
ReplyDeleteI want the paperbag concession for their bedroom.
Jimbotalk,
ReplyDeleteYou always say the things I wish I had said.
