Frankly Speaking

"She's got Weiner on her side." NBC's Norah O'Donnell to Savannah Guthrie after NY Congressman Anthony Weiner (left) stuffed it up his carpetbagger former colleague Harold Ford's NY political pipe dream.  Hotdogger Ford moved to NY after Tennesseans rejected his Senate bid. Or "Tennesseeites" as a clueless Weiner blabbed to MSNBC's "Morning Joe" this a.m.

Hillary did it.  Why not Ford?  Move to NY and run for Senate.  Ford's folly:  Dem Sen.Kirsten Gillibrand whom Ford apparently believes is a soft target because she was appointed to fill Hillary's seat.  Already the long knives are out to get Ford.

The Weinermobile crashes:  "I think I'll get my twang on" and move to Tennessee.  Oh, and he also said health care is dead...

An aside to Savannah's MSNBC "Daily Rundown" co-anchor Chuck Todd:  "Mass exodus" is redundant.  An exodus IS mass.  Todd was referring to Haitians fleeing to Florida.

  1. Too bad Ford didn't take the rest of that shitty family with him when he moved to New York. Thugs, all around.

As for "Weenie," we don't need that SOB or his twang.

  3. Help. I live in New York. The place is full of carpetbaggers. Just say NO to FORD. Ain't it bad enough we have Gillibrand. All of the good Republicans are to smart to even attempt a run. Where else, other then in New York, doesn't your vote count?

  4. Gillibrand versus Ford? Lordy, that would be the most conservative NY democratic primary in the past century. ANY liberal NY congressman could enter that and blast his/her opponents on guns and abortion for an easy win.

  5. Ford has taken a leave of absence from his Wall Street firm to run...

  6. The recent history of 2 state politicians isn't encouraging. Former Senator James Buckley of New York won the GOP senate nomination in Connecticut in 1980 but was beaten by Chris Dodd. Former Senator Bill Brock of Tennessee won the GOP senate nomination in Maryland in 1994 but was beaten by Paul Sarbanes. And then there's Alan Keyes, who's a total loser in Maryland and Illinois.
