Birthday Boy Beck

Fox stars come out en force to celebrate Glenn Beck's first year! Bret Baier: "You're the best lead-in we could ever ask for." [In contrast Jay Leno was a lousy lead-in triggering an NBC domino effect] Mike Huckabee (in an obvious shot at NBC): "I know you're struggling and nobody's watching yet, but give yourself some time. It took Jay Leno a while to get his audience tracking."

As for Beck's most vociferous critic MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, a Wall Street Journal editorial board member writes in a Beck profile "Olbermann is no closer to the old ideal of the straightforward, objective newsman than is Mr. Beck, and cable television has yielded up a multitude of other personalities who blend news, strong opinion and entertainment in varying degrees, including Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Jon Stewart and, until his recent departure from CNN, Lou Dobbs."

Beck's also quoted as saying:  "Nobody's watching Charlie Rose."  Except Charlie's harem and Jeff Zucker...
