All signs point to Comcast dumping the NBC name when the cable company officially usurps NBC. How will NBC feel playing second banana to what Comcast CEO Brian Roberts gushes are NBC's "fantastic" cable farm team?
Comcast has taken the domain names ComcastNBCU.com, NBCUComcast.com and ComcastEntertainment.com.
How about "The Comcast Nightly News w/Brian Williams?" CNN for short. MSNBC's new name could be KON - Keith Olbermann Network.
I doubt the NBC broadcast network name will be changed. It's just too big a brand. (Too big to fail?)

And the MSNBC name will go. How about LPN, the "Liberal Progressive Network"?

ReplyDeleteSo will Comcast have to pay for ads on it's own network? Will all NBC related channels be moved to channels 2, 3, 4, 5 on all cable systems? Will Fox suddenly develop technical difficulties? Inquiring minds want to know.
