I confess I entertained this ridiculous notion when the WH party crasher news hit and went so far as to suggest it on November 27th : that GE CEO Jeff Immelt and state dinner guest (pictured at right dodging C-SPAN) had a hand in admitting the Bravo craven couple - but later dismissed it outright as too absurd.
My husband recalls my day after Thanksgiving reaction differently. He had just watched the "Today's" show's top story at 7a and timed it - eight minutes of the party crashers - when I staggered out of bed at 7:30. After he told me what happened, the first words on my sleepy tongue? "It's Immelt!"
The first clue, I told him: eight minutes on the "Today" show. I then proceeded to connect the dots.
Drudge headline today: BRAVO: Did Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Immelt know 'crashers' were with him at $tate Dinner? Did Immelt inform President Obama?
NYDN TV editor Richard Huff: Party crashers Tareq and Michaele Salahi a big boost to Bravo's 'Real Housewives' franchise.... could be Bravo's next biggest stars after their success in crashing dinner at the White House.

Oh ick if it's true. how low rent can anyone get. using the White House as a publicity stunt for a C network channel.
ReplyDeleteI know. That's why I blew off my own thoughts out of the box after I heard about this. How low can you go? The TV pimp of all pimps...
