B&C's Michael Malone finds NBC affiliates aren't buying the network's spin on Jay Leno's 10p show ratings: Some are wondering if and when NBC will pull the plug on Leno. “I think the experiment hasn't worked,” says Post-Newsweek Stations President/CEO Alan Frank, who oversees a pair of NBC outlets. “The handwriting is on the wall—the only question is what [NBC] is going to do about it.”
When pressed to grade the show the local stations' suits gave it a C average. But as a lead-in to local news, Leno got mostly Ds and Fs with one guy grading the ratings disaster "WTF."
