MSNBC's "Morning Joe" seems to be the venue du jour for the Obama below-the-belt hits on skittish congressional Dems. Earlier this week Joe Botox Biden crooned "it's now or never" on the health care reform bill. Today it was David Axelrod hammering persona non grata former prez candidate and DNC chair Howard Dean for a piece today in the Wash Post advising senators not to vote for the bill.
"Insane," bellowed Axelrod.
What's insane is that Obama blithely thought congressional minions would stick out their necks this late in the game when campaign season is right around the corner. I'm divining the White House tantrums over the failure of Obama thuggery to acquire the centerpiece of his presidency. The well is dry. The reality: Obama's poll numbers are death, health care reform approval's gone south. The hot button issue: jobs, jobs, jobs.
Hilarious! You KNOW that Obama minions would rather still be trashing Bush and the Republicans at this point in his administration, but his fellow democrats provide a much richer target environment. ;)
