Diane Sawyer: Go!


After 10 years and by her own calculation 2,881 shows, Diane Sawyer announced this a.m. this is her last week on "Good Morning America."  She takes over for Charlie Gibson as anchoress of  "World News Tonight" December 21st.  Charlie's last broadcast is December 18th.

Sidekick Robin Roberts is sorry to lose her "Thelma."  Huff Po's Danny Shea notes Bill O'Reilly was on this a.m.  Watch the sappy Diane announcement and sappy GMA video.

What a contrast between the hoopla over Katie Couric taking over the CBS Evening News and what AP's TV writer David Bauder calls ABC's "stealth transition."
