Keith Olbermann's Sour Grapes

It's becoming abundantly clear that MSNBC's star anchor Keith Olbermann is acting out again by not sucking it up and hosting his own show.  Olbermann appears to have let his personal political views color his professional life.

Olbermann did not deliver the promised live 10p post-election show Tuesday night.  Instead MSNBC ran the 8p show.  Unfathomable on a hot political news night.  Olbermann's excuse?  He was visiting his father in the hospital.

Wednesday night he was spotted at Yankee Stadium.  Left-wing harpy Lawrence O'Donnell filled in on "Countdown."

Former MSNBC GM and show host Dan Abrams's media news aggregator Mediaite questions Olbermann's motives.

If Olbermann is pissed off at the Republican election victories which saw Dem NJ gov Jon Corzine ousted and Repub Bob McDonnell winning the VA governor's race, that is hardly a reason to bail on his broadcast responsibilities.

His lame excuses don't wash when you consider Olbermann's previous antics when he doesn't get his way.  All of it in the aggregate unbeliveably unprofessional, inappropriate, and immature.

Phil Griffin:  chuck Olbermann and his psychological baggage.

Olbermann's behavior is patently unprofessional. Just proves he's not a journalist. Send the boy back to the toy department where he belongs...
