Stossel, the ex-ABC News "20/20" reporter, is getting hammered for going to an anti-Obama health care rally while posing as a new Fox Business News host/journalist. Fox is firing back the same rationale MSNBC used to justify Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews's on-air opinions while anchoring alleged news coverage of the 2008 presidential elections: Stossel is an "analyst." MSNBC czar Phil Griffin used "commentator" in the cases of Olbermann and Matthews. Same thing.
CNN was sullied this week after CNN's "Latino In America" series only served to remind Hispanics of Lou's anti-immigration rants. To add insult to injury, the ratings sucked compared with "Black in America."
Jim Bohannon introduced me to Lou a couple of years ago at a talk radio thing in DC. If anyone comes close to Ted Baxter's clone it is Lou. What a pompous ass!
Don't malign Lou. He's the best CNN has to offer. I may not always agree with him, but I do most of the time. Try reading his books. The man is a clear thinker, student of history, and his positions are well founded.
