"Clearly something convinced Obama, or his people, that Fox News would never give his policies what they considered a fair hearing."NYDN TV critic David Hinckley vascillates more than Tevye in Fiddler On The Roof - "On the other hand..."
He's thinking as he's writing: will the Obama-orchestrated hero/villain gambit pay off? Can we fuck up the rudderless Republican Party?
Last graf: "Just as convincing Americans that their choice is the Obama administration or Fox News could give the administration a sweet push, at a time when it could use one."
Marty,
ReplyDeleteI have been calling for the Snidely Whiplash villain to be used. I mean the kids are using Hitler, and The Joker from Batman Dark Knight.
But lets face it this is a "Snidely Whiplash" move this Administration is making....which actually would fit with the generation Axelrod comes from.
Remember Ray Stevens? And than a long came Jones, slow walkin Jones, slow talking Jones.....Ernie Kovac plays the Snidely Whiplash - Simon Legree part. Or maybe better yet Axelrod would be the character Harvey Korman "Hedley Lamar" played in Blazing Saddles.

Very amusing!
ReplyDeleteWho the hell cares about Snidely - we need Dudley Do Right. But, if he is like the rest of our leaders - he can be found out there screwing Nell
ReplyDeleteThis is serious stuff - I think this demands a Keith Obermann rant.
