Reality Bites


Balloon boy's parents' publicity stunt deflated.  You just knew they were lying on the "Today" show and GMA when six-year-old Falcon turned into a vomit comet when his CNN admission "We did this for the show" was thrown in daddy's face by Meredith Viera and Diane Sawyer.

Falcon Heese's parents were featured on the ABC reality show "Wife Swap."  Apparently they thought this was their ticket to another reality series.

Cable TV networks went wall-to-wall Friday when it appeared the boy had floated away in a homemade helium balloon.  The kid was never inside.  Was hiding in the house as quiet as the Maltese Falcon.

No final figure on how much this frivolous search cost law enforcement.  The parents could be charged with  - at the very least  - filing a false police report.

  2. What the hell was wrong with the Cops - the balloon didn't even have a door for the kid to crawl into. Where is CSI when you need them - probabably the cops were related to Barney Fife.
