Obama's Fatal Attraction

ABC's White House correspondent Jake Tapper up all night with a new baby and Twitter - tweeting on his contretemps with WH press czar Robert Gibbs after yesterday a.m.'s daily  "gaggle" in Gibbs's office where Tapper called Gibbs on the carpet for targeting Fox News:

i think it's fair to ask the WH if it's appropriate to declare itself arbiter of what is or is not a news organization..... i dont care for bad reporting or demagoguery, and i sure see it on cable. but i also see real reporting ... [on cable news].... and no, of course MSNBC and FNC are not mirror images of each other. just take the larger point..... Y'all need to understand: I would ask the same q of a GOP WH declaring, say, MSNBC "not a news organization." not about politics.....  im not defending that. am asking if it's the WH's job to say who is and who isnt a news organization..... today's Qs for O's WH: Why is it appropriate for the WH to delineate what is and what is not a "news organization"?

Read the exchange here between Tapper and Gibbs.

On Sunday the WH trotted out Obama Oddjob Rahm "The Knife" Emanuel and senior adviser David Axelrod to ramp up the Fox noise on Sunday spin shows. The takeaway? The WH is trashing Fox to discourage other news organizations from following the #1 cable network's lead. How disingenuous!

The real agenda is to liquidate Fox News. Don't think for a second that Glenn Beck isn't readying another incendiary explosive device the WH will find itself challenging on an anti-Beck page of the official WH website (paid for by you).

This a.m. in the first half-hour of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Mike Barnicle observed that the WH obsession with Fox News is like a presidential campaign targeting Rhode Island while ignoring California. The Obama strafing of Fox News hardly resonates with millions of hard-working financially-strapped Americans.

Obama's like a scorned lover resorting to "Fatal Attraction" obsessive retaliation.
