NFL Pass Rush

An emboldened Fox News Sunday contributor Juan Williams wonders why MSNBC's unabashed conservative basher Keith Olbermann still announces NFL games while blowhard Rush Limbaugh is roundly hammered for attempting to snag a small stake in the St. Louis Rams:

  1. Announcing games or being a broadcaster on NBC for the NFL is far different than owning a team.

    Ugh, I'm defending Olbermann.

Well, not really; I'm just making a key distinction.

  2. Williams can think what he wants. For so many years Limbaugh has spent his time on the radio mis-labeling or mis-characterizing others . Finally he had his judgment day.

  3. Regardless your opinion of Rush, his antics, his characterizations, etc, it's not the job of the main stream media, Jeese, Al or anyone else other than the voting members of the NFL ownership as to who gets to join their "club" so to speak.

When you let these morons shape public opinion to the point it affects peoples ability to earn a living based upon who THEY like and dislike, the outcome can only be bad.

Left wing race baiting idiots with an agenda, plain and simple.

  4. It's one thing for commentators to "mis-label" things.

But quite another for major news organizations to do so.

Limbaugh may have gotten what "he deserved" (if you want to put it that way); but we deserve a better press than the one that reported on this matter.

The Limbaugh story will pass - the dogs bark the caravan moves on.

We're still stuck with the caravan.

  5. Let the free market do it's thing. I personally don't watch Sunday Night Football anymore because I can't take Olberdouche...That's a decision I (and I'm sure a lot more) have made.

If Rush had bought into the Rams, the market would have obviously decided if it was a good or bad thing.

Why do liberals despise market forces, free choice, and free speech? It's like they really need to be everyones mommy.

  6. Ah I'd feel just a bit better about the NFL leadership if they were as hard on their felony coviceted thugs as they are on a potential owner. Go rape a woman, hold up a store, shoot someone, or kill little dogs and you are our cup of tea. Say bad things about the president and it is unforgivable.

  7. It has nothing to do with liberal or conservative, blowhard or bloviator. Rush is a racist and Olbermann isn't.

    Nuff said.

  8. Mike Rappaport, When you call someone a "baffon" a "fool" an "idiot" etc, it's an expression of your opinion with no real explanations necessary.

When you step it up and call someone a "racist" a "murderer" or a "child molester etc it requires a certain degree of proof to back up your accusation.

There is absolutely no substantive proof that Rush Limbaugh is a racist and your accusation is reckless and without merit. When black friends of his are on national television defending him it's sort of hard to make that tired old meme fit.

  9. Limbaugh is a critic of liberal black Americans not black Americans in general.

He's a huge fan of Justice Thomas and Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams - among other noted black figures.

Why would a racist favor those individuals.

Of course for many liberals, if you're not on the left you're not a REAL black person anyway. So those men above don't count.
