Keith Olbermann: Unreliable Source

Why is Wash Post and CNN "Reliable Sources" media maven Howard Kurtz quoting, of all people, Keith Olbermann on the character of the suspended CBS producer charged with extortion in the Letterman sex scandal?  Olbermann's up Letterman's ass.

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, who once worked with Halderman, wrote in a blog post: "You know when somebody gets arrested for some horrific or moronic crime . . . you hear somebody say 'that's not the guy I knew'? Not this time. This is exactly the guy we knew at CNN in 1981." Contacted Monday, Olbermann said that Halderman "lied to people. A lot. Personal betrayal. There was no weeping when he left. . . . I used to say he reminded me a lot of John Belushi, only without the weight or the humor."

Pot-calling-the-kettle-black Olbermann writing his own obit?

How old is Olbermann's live-in girlfriend with virtually no broadcasting experience whom he's elevated to a reporter's job at NBC's flagship station WNBC?  He's 50.  She's 25.

  1. There was no weeping when he left. . .

Isn't that what happened at ESPN when Olbermann left?

    Well, perhaps tears of joy.
