Classless: Obama Trashes Fox News to Liberal Competitors at WH Confab

"Speaking privately at the White House on Monday with a group of mostly liberal columnists and commentators, including Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann of MSNBC and Maureen Dowd, Frank Rich and Bob Herbert of The New York Times, Mr. Obama himself gave vent to sentiments about the network, according to people briefed on the conversation."  Jim Rutenberg "Behind the War Between White House and Fox" NYT

  3. Is the President trying to break into stand up comedy now? I don't think he has won a comedy award yet LOL!

I'm sorry but we were discussing this on Craig Crawfords Trail Mix today, and I just can't take it seriously. The White House has inserted itself into the cable news wars...way to build that public trust and credibility Mr President LMAO.

I can't wait till he comes out and starts his criticism of Fox News with a "I'm Serious Now" Giggling, Dad's not having it, behave you kids.

  5. Okay I just thought of another one.

The President "Don't make me stop this press conference, Don't make me come into the news swamp, and bitch slap you" MSNBC - Fox News isn't touching me...Fox News, I'm not touching you some more...CNN you two are so juvenile. Both Fox and MSNBC in unison "I know you are but what am I"

    LOL!

  6. I guess Obama thinks MSNBC has too many viewers and the NY Times has too many readers. This will be a slow leak over the weekend of what he said in the "off the record" meeting.

  7. Obama the Fox-hunter

There is a wily old Fox,
    About Obama it talks,
    “It just isn’t fair,”
    He says with a glare,
“My feelings, it hurts, when it mocks.”

    Obama the Fox-hunter (II)

On cable there is an old Fox,
    The President, sometimes, it mocks,
    “It just isn’t right,”
    He says, ready to fight,
    “Ignore it whenever it talks.”

  8. Obama is no statesman by any stretch. Stooping to sparring with a cable news channel is big time undignified and certainly not worthy of the office of President of the United States.

It has backfired. Obama wanted to drive a wedge between Fox and the other networks. When push came to shove, the free press trumped all the bullshit and politics.

  9. Randy, that was excellent.

    Marty.

We have two real wars going on, some how, I don't think those enemies are especially concerned either.

Is there no ONE in the White House Public Relations Department?

(ONE) That didn't graduate from Chinese studies at Harvard ;)
