Syndicated radio talk show host Michael Smerconish tweets before his big Obama show today: "More than 5000 emails today suggesting qs for the president to answ....very tough to decide how to maximize time...."
MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell, staying live with Obama signing books for Smerconish in the WH Diplomatic Room where Smerconish did his noon to 3p show live, conceded the Philadelphia talk show host asked good questions. This is the first time a radio talker's been allowed to do a live show from the WH. NBC's Brian Williams and ABC's Diane Sawyer and Charles Gibson fronted live WH shows earlier this summer.
Bottom line: Republican-blaming Obama hasn't abandoned hope for the so-called "public option" - government-controlled health care. And this is how the Wall Street Journal predicts he'll get it.

Obama said that "the press got excited and some folks on the left got a little excited"
