Keith set up his blockbuster ratings announcement by skewering LA Times's Andrew Malcolm who, in apologizing for the Times's Thursday TV guide where Olbermann's "Countdown" was replaced by MTV's "Jackass", wrote that only "a few thousand people might have tuned into MSNBC, the Obama administration's favorite channel, expecting to see a 'Jackass' show, and instead they'd have found Olbermann. Worse, what if nobody noticed the difference?"

As always, Keith Olbermann has to find something to spin in his favor. I tried looking for the demos he's using, but I can't seem to find it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, has anyone noticed that all negative criticisms on Keith Olbermann's Wiki page is always deleted and that the same people who monitors and deletes any criticism on Olbermann's page, also monitors O'Reilly's page and always post criticisms on his page?
ZD: Yeah, I notice it and it's stupid.
ReplyDeleteWhat an insult.
ReplyDeleteTo Jackass.
I guess I'll never understand the television ratings game. According to what Marty posted for 8/20, O'Reilly creamed Olbermann 2-1 in the 25-54 demo and 3-1 in the overall viewer demo.
ReplyDeleteSo how does that translate into Countdown beating The Factor?
OLD SMOKE SCREENS IN BROADCASTING. ANYONE ADEPT AT READING THE RATINGS CAN USUALLY FIND A "POSITIVE" STORY IF YOU CRUNCH ENOUGH. REMEMBER THE OLD AXIOM "NUMBERS DON'T LIE BUT YOU CAN LIE WITH NUMBERS" sorry for the all caps too lazy to retype.
ReplyDeleteFr. Andy: Olbermann didn't beat The Factor in the key 25-54 demo. Just 35 and under.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone see what Olbermann said last night on his program? Olbermann stated that his program is the #1 news program not on Fox News.... Somebody please tell me what's he smoking...
ReplyDelete....the #1 news program....
ReplyDeleteThat he still considers his pretend news show with his pretend journalism a "news program" pretty much says it all.
I "loved" the fact olby purposely omitted the "jackass" error
ReplyDelete#1 News program in the 35 and under demo is what he said...
