Well, they made news Monday with the appointment of a special prosecutor with the ultimate goal of nailing Dick Cheney as Obama as good cop and AG Eric Holder bad cop. Obama's fingerprints are all over this as the U.S. intelligence commmunity finds itself de-balled with even sleep deprivation a verboten terrorist interrogation technique.
O, the horrors as trumpeted by the Wash Post! I refer you to the William Buckley labels below to read how the former Beirut CIA station chief was tortured and murdered in the 1980s by Hezbollah terrorists.
Because of this, many Americans are going to get killed and the CIA will be afraid to do their jobs in fear of prosecution.
ReplyDeleteThis might have worked right after he took office but now it looks like what it is - a distraction because his health care reform in present proposal is unpopular, and he is dropping in the polls. He did promise to be Transparent and this tired old political move is just that. The juice from BDS has been used up. We have bigger fish to fry: Unemployment and the Economy. Eating and Housing yourself trumps the "fine" moral sensibilities of many Americans.

Obama always comes through on his campaign promises, it's just not what everyone else interpreted his meaning to be. This is the Transparency.
Ah, but remember: If we don't adhere to not only the Geneva Conventions, but 5 star hotel accomodations, then the terrorists will stop adhering to the Geneva Conventions themselves.

ReplyDeleteI remember what Jimmy Carter did to the C.I.A. when he took office. It looks like Obama plans on neutering them, for the sake of trying to hold onto a leftest base, that doesn't represent the majority. How is that a good idea?

Tom Clancy once said on CSPAN a few years back that if you want a reform of the CIA. Take Congress out of the CIA and let them do their job...
