The puzzled are asking me why Jim Bell hired Jenna. How's this? Perhaps "Today" has taken notice that other media outlets are glomming on to John McCain's daughter Meghan. The younger McCain will warm Elisabeth Hasselbeck's chair on "The View" while the former is off on maternity leave.
Ms. Meghan has no broadcasting experience either.
Today's NYT snarky lede: "Even the former first daughter Jenna Bush Hager has to supplement her teacher’s salary with a part-time job. In her case, though, the second job is rather high profile: she is going to work for NBC as the newest “Today” show correspondent."

I hope it is not a naieve move by Jenna. Perhaps she is going undercover, and will correct or chastise the liberal elite hosts when they spout their vindictives against the "previous administration".

ReplyDeleteNot dumb. She learned from her father and grandfather and uncle and great grandfather that vile and hateful words sometimes come with the jobs they chose to take. She's also smart enough to understand that people who spew that sort of stuff find it much harder to do when they actually know you personally.
