Scam-A-Lot

Update: CANCELED

The Washington Post has concocted a $25,000 to $250,000 shakedown of suckers wanting access to Obama officials. Ironically it was a lobbyist who blew the whistle on the scheme euphemistically billed as a Washington Post "salon" at the home of dead publisher Katherine Graham's granddaughter Katherine Weymouth (right).

It's like Perle Mesta's social salons in DC.

Reporters, politicians, WH types. All off-the-record.

Not in this day and age...

If the WP needs the money, bake sales are very profitable. Our church does them all the time.

This is fantastic.
To think I could pay this kind of money to be able to hear Eugene Robinson bloviate when I could just turn on Morning Joe and see him for free.
This is Chutzpah, though it could also be just stupid.

Looks like an article on Politico got the WashPo to pull the plug.

But they'll probably try again, with much less publicity.

And Katherine Weymouth will merely fill Perle Mesta's long vacant shoes gratis!
