MSNBC's Limbo Rock: How Low Can You Go?

MSNBC does it Greek style.  How did THIS get by the producer?  It's HIGH.

Blame the Chyron grunt?

In Greek mythology Chiron, from the Greek word "hand," was a centaur - half man half horse.

In cable news MSNBC is half man half horse's ass. And somebody at MSNBC has his head up it.

You can't really blame the 'Chyron' operator anymore. Caption/Banners/Text are put into the news computer system by the writer/producer/editor and automatically read and displayed by the 'Chyron'. It's gotten so automated that no one is really reading and checking these when they air.

Well, I guess I hail from the OLD DAYS when it was done by hand.

I'm dating myself, big time, Grandpa D.

I liked the old days of film processors, Movieolas, film glue. B rolls...

Ah, those were the days! I escaped only 3 years ago so I've seen some of new stuff. But when it was done by hand and many eyes looked at the product there were far less mistakes.

Next they'll be automating hand jobs.

They already do. Started in the 1970s. I saw it advertised in the LA Free Press in 1974. Auto-Suck. Plugs into your car lighter.

Gee, Marty, how much was an Auto-Suck? And what happens if it shorts out? OUCH!

Isn't Auto-Suck what we had in the White House for the last 8 years?
