Jay Severed?

I suspect suspended Boston conservative radio talker (syndicated by Westwood One) Jay Severin will be permanently beached. Severin laced into Mexicans with a string of unfortunate descriptions. Boston's WTKK 96.9 FM's is right. Jay's brain IS on fire.

Here's what Severin fans say: "What's the real reason for Severin's suspension? After all, rabid xenophobia is nothing new from 3 to 7pm. The Boston Herald is reporting that WTKK has suspended Jay Severin indefinitely...because he said hateful things about Mexicans??Where has WTKK management been for the past 10 despicable years of Severin's hate-filled rants against foreigners?Something else is going on here. It appears that 96.9 management was looking for an excuse to oust Severin from the all-important afternoon drive slot. Maybe they have figured out, as suggested here during his recent Imus-episode "vacation," that Michael Graham would score far better against Howie Carr than Severin is scoring.As of now, Severin and his lawyer are insisting he'll be back on the air any day now. But that frankly appears doubtful. Michael Graham has probably already been told behind the scenes that he'll be getting the afternoon nod. And Severin will be lucky if he's offered Graham's old non-drive morning slot.Rather than face that humiliation, Severin will likely sue WTKK on the grounds that he has been a rabid xenophobe from day one, yet they never suspended him before. If Jay needs any reliable witnesses who can testify to what an unrepentant jerk he's been all along, we Best and Brightest will be there for him.
