Deplaned

The ex-CNBC czar who thought he had a lock on NBC's Weather Channel top gig has egoed himself out of a job. Bill Bolster apparently was so confident he was the only guy in the running that he refused to move to Atlanta where the Weather Channel is, demanding NBC pay for a private plane.

NBC prez Jeff Zucker and GE head Jeff Immelt are flying commercial these days. Bolster's demand flies in the face of Zucker's across-the-board NBC budget cuts.

Bolster worked miracles at CNBC when he arrived there in 1996 and apparently still believes the press.

Looks like NBC is sending Bolster a message to get him to back off, or the network's simply done with him.
