CNN & NBC: When The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game

If you want to interview terminally ill Elizabeth Edwards you've got to promise you won't utter the name "Rielle Hunter."

The "Today" show and Larry King - to get "the get" - have gamely gone along with the demand.

The cancer-ridden Edwards, in pimping her book "Resilience," has appeared on Oprah referring to her husband's alleged love child - a girl - as "it."

And Elizabeth Edwards ["Today" show photo] claims she's not angry?

  1. I saw the interview with Larry King the other night. I must say this is one gutsy woman. She admitted to being unaware and frankly dense to the whole situation. Questions about the death of her child and this adultery were tough for her but she maintained her composure.

Her scumbag husband settled further and further into the tar pit with the rest of the dinosaurs of his ilk as the interview continued.

If the whole collection of male politicians were to be given an enema, John is where they would stick the tube.

  2. It speaks to her character that she refers to the child as an "it". Although I empathize with her situation she is not exactly endearing with her inner hate...

  3. Well she is a lawyer after all. I am sure she has weighed her words. and the effect they would have. The proceeds from this book are they going into a trust for her children?

I mean ole Rielle told everyone that she and John would be together, once Elizabeth is gone. Where does that leave Elizabeth's children? Would you trust your children to John Edwards and his whatever the word is for Rielle?

I wouldn't possibly Elizabeth Edwards is doing what she has to for her children when she will no longer be here to look after them?

Now that is sad and inspiring.

  4. If I were Elizabeth I would make it such that everything was cut off from John including what primarily interests Rielle.

  5. There is a possibility that Elizabeth had no idea John was dicking around with "That Woman." Staff knew. And they're great at covering up for the boss.

As they say, the wife is the last to know.

What bothers me is how she went along with his dog and pony press shows, like the big TV moment announcing her cancer.

And why didn't she dump him when she found out? Or is she simply living a separate life?
