New York, NY – May 4, 2009 - Westwood One announced today that a new multi-year agreement has been reached with Jim Bohannon to continue hosting The Jim Bohannon Show and America In The Morning. The Jim Bohannon Show airs on over 300 radio stations nationwide Monday through Friday, 10PM – 1AM ET and features special guests and listener call-ins discussing a spectrum of topics from current events and politics to entertainment and pop culture. Westwood One’s America in the Morning airs on 356 stations nationwide and provides up to the minute news and the morning essentials - weather, business, and sports to listeners every weekday from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. ET.

Bohannon is a 39-year veteran of broadcasting. A self-described "militant moderate," Bohannon received the 2006 Peter Hackes Award from the Washington, DC Chapter of RTNDA; was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2003; was named one of "The 100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts in America" three years in a row by Talkers Magazine; and was nominated for the National Association of Broadcasters ( NAB ) Marconi Radio Award for the Network or Syndicated Personality of the Year.

  3. Good to hear you don't intend going anywhere soon Jim. I do enjoy listening to you. We could use more radio personalities such as yourself who treat radio like a profession not a publicity stunt. Oh yes I enjoy your posts here too.

  4. I guess the rumor you were going to to take the fry cook job at Faye's Diner in Lebanon Missouri was all a bunch of hooey then.
    Oh well. We can wait until 2012 for the tater tots with gravy.

  6. Best news I heard all day - it's getting very hard to find any other intelligent talk on the radio in the evenings any more. Been a fan of Jimbo's since he substituted for Larry King on the late night show - and so was my late father. Keep on rockin' in the free world, Jimbo!!
