Media: One Toke Over the Line Pimping Obama's 100 Days

Wash Post Howard Kurtz on the media "perfect swarm" on Wednesday's Day 100 of Obama: At MSNBC.com, Howard Fineman says that Obama was "born" to live "calmly and confidently on a global stage with the hottest lights and biggest audience. . . . He doesn't seem needy, aloof or afraid. We used to call that 'cool.' "

  1. Cool? Aloof? Not Needy? how about tentative, uncertain and unsure of himself. What other words do you use to describe and idividual who needs a Teleprompter like a pacifier? Could he even order a pizza without using one? I wonder how long it will be until shows like SNL start rolling with this flaw.

  3. I think you nailed it, Bob.

Speaking of teleprompter, I have a picture from his recent trip to Iraq in which he's using the teleprompter's long lost cousin, the index card, to speak to the troops. Can't even speak to them without using some sort of assistance. Or crutch, really.

What I get a kick out of is when people say things like "It's nice to finally have a President who is articulate and sounds intelligent when he speaks!" Clearly they aren't listening when he's not using his crutch. :)

  4. He was a much better ad lib campaigner than ad lib president.

  5. this morning Obama and Biden welcomed old arlen and thanked him for finally coming out of the closet. Neither obama or biden could conduct "this welcome to the club Arlen" without the use of notes. I can understand why Biden has been ordered to use notes but obama's reliance is scary.

  6. A man with as much power as POTUS is a fear to have a fear of speaking extemporaneously.

  7. Why doesn't the White House just implant a permanent chip in his brain to his mouth?
