The Washington Post's Paul Farhi tries to sanitize the new, IMPROVED Al-Jazeera in English (debuting today in DC and co-anchored by former ABC "Nightline" reporter, ex-WCBS TV and WRC TV (DC) news anchor Dave Marash. What did the long-in-the-tooth Marash get for selling out? Forty virgins? Marash tells CJR why he quit "Nightline" in 2006 for Al Jazeera.
Marash is looking a bit like Osama bin Laden's father.

Marash is NOT co-anchoring AJE. In fact, he was removed as anchor in March and recently departed AJE. The article you link to in the second paragraph explains why he left AJE. The comments posted by online readers are actually quite interesting.
