Jim C. writes: Marty...do you remember the old movie "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry"? I think of Pelosi as Dirty Nancy (she fit's that psychotic character's personality type) and H. Reid as "Crazy Harry." All the wacked-out things the two characters did in the movie led to a dynamic conclusion: a high-speed impact between their speeding car and a big freight train...Dirty Nan & Crazy Harry are driving the Congress at break-neck speed to a bad end...and Obama reminds me of the "Bill" character in the "Kill Bill" movies...the mysterious, charismatic fanatic who built a ring of assassins who'd do his grisly bidding without question or remorse...his end, though dramatic and stylized, was a foregone conclusion...none of this is any way to say there will be violence or physical harm to the President (may the gods forbid it), but his political end will be a horror of historical proportions; one that will temper future Presidential Candidates' zeal for excessive collective action.
No, Jim, I don't remember the movie. In 1974 I was smoking weed in California and don't recall anything from that year... Nancy's more likely to stage a chase at 30,000 feet in an Air Force G5...

ReplyDeleteReminds me of a "Ziggy" comic I saw years ago in which Ziggy was flying a small plane. First frame we see the level plane cruising along in the blue sky amid wispy clouds, second and third frames we see Ziggy is happily smiling directly toward us but, in that final third frame we also see, along the vertical left edge, green grass and a single daisy.
