NBC's Original Sin

NBC's "Chief White House Correspondent" Chuck Todd appeared Saturday on NPR's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" Not My Job "Well, to it's never too late to go back to cod-fishing" segment Saturday lifted from a Vanity Fair piece.

Host Peter Sagal: "People say that the media, particularly, oh, certain networks often starting with an 'N', are, um, in the tank for Obama. Is it up to the waist or all they way up to the eyeballs?"

Chuck Todd: "The first thing I say to accusations of bias, I check my, I check my pulse, and I look, I am a human being. Okay, we are all born with original bias, just like the Bible says. We're born with orginial bias, number one, if we're human. Two, are people accusing us of biases watching with a subjective eye or an objective eye?"

Chuck gets only one out of three questions right about Iceland.

Chuck to announcer Carl Kasell: "Tell me what it would've sounded like if I won?"

Mellow baritone Carl reads the line crowing that Chuck won with one right answer. Chuck protests: "You can't even pretend I got two right?"

Sagal: "Carl's a journalist. He's got standards!"

Chuck to Carl: "Well, you're not working for NBC!"
