NYT: "One A.I.G. executive, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he feared the consequences of identifying himself, said many workers felt demonized and betrayed. “It is as bad if not worse than McCarthyism."
Spoke under condition on anonymity...Money for nothing and your chicks for free..come one they ran the company into a deep hole, and some of them are getting paid millions 54 of them are not with the company anymore. So it isn't retention bonuses for people who are excessively Greedy, and don't have any foothold in reality. All the rules that apply to anyone else in this country (Pay For Merit) don't apply. They didn't run the company right into the ground did they? The rule doesn't apply to Company Exs and Government Employs, SEE Senator Chris Dodd Friend of Angelo. The answer was to force them to break up all their holdings, and file for bankruptcy. They can go out of business. Their Cover "Too Big Too Fail" No such Animal. I don't want to own A.I.G. I don't want to be a Socialist.
I wish Congress would hold one of their famous hearings and let each of the members testify why they agreed to this stuff because all of this started with Congress not reading the words in the bill.
"Ignorance of the law is no excuse". We want our society to live by the law and our judicial system to follow it to the letter. So you'd think the clowns that write the law would read the damn thing at least once before passing it.
Hey, those are my tax dollars that AIG execs contributed to Chris Dodd's campaign chest. I want my money back.
I asked the question before. "Did any lawmaker read this legistation bfore it was passed?" Maybe Obama should resurrect his pledge of a 5 day waiting period for all bills so the press can vette them.

ReplyDeleteThe president will resurrect that pledge well in advance of his re-election campaign so he can put a check next to that box.
ReplyDeleteThe pledge was bs. Those who voted against him knew it was bs, he knew it was bs, and many who voted for him knew it was bs.
